The core service delivery at Up & Running centers around a personalized shoe fitting process designed to help patrons run comfortably, efficiently, and injury-free. Staff members conduct expert gait evaluations by analyzing barefoot walking movement and reviewing wear patterns on a customer's old shoes. To ensure optimal support, visitors test candidate footwear on an in-store treadmill, determining how shoes perform prior to taking them out on the road. The store accommodates both seasoned marathoners and individuals who are entirely new to running, offering guidance on sizing adjustments to handle foot swelling during exercise. In addition to individual fittings, Up & Running connects with the broader community by sharing news on local race events, offering newsletter perks, and extending discounts to military personnel, healthcare workers, firefighters, police officers, and select local gyms and clubs.
